This one hour webinar presented by RKL will cover the basics of how to use the CMS PDPM ICD-10-CM Mappings tool that is used for the purpose of resident classification under the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) for Medicare Part A SNF stays. RKL will cover how to use the tool to determine the Clinical Category for the PT and OT component that is based on the primary diagnosis selection in Section I, Item I0020B.  The mapping of the SLP comorbidities will be reviewed as well as using the NTA mapping tool to capture the appropriate ICD-10-CM code, conditions and services.

Objectives:

1. The participant will describe how the CMS mapping tool works in determining the PDPM clinical category.
2. The participant will differentiate between when to use an ICD-10-CM code versus a MDS item checkbox for comorbidity selection.
3. The participant will verbalize how the points are calculated for the NTA score when using multiple codes for the same diagnosis.
