  Nursing home providers Wednesday commended the House for passing a bill that would eliminate the one-year delay to the RUG-IV case-mix classification system.

  The LTC industry eagerly awaits the passing of the American Jobs and Closing Tax Loopholes Act.  Last week the House and Senate reached agreement on the "extenders package", also known as  American Jobs and Closing Tax Loopholes Act.

• Updates to RAI Manual due to be out today!

  CMS posted new versions of the MDS 3.0 item subsets on its Web site April 9, along with a document containing questions and answers from the March MDS 3.0 training session in Baltimore.

• CMS Releases Chapter Six of the MDS 3.0 Manual
