The therapy caps exceptions process is another issue left in limbo with the delay in health care reform. The exceptions process expired Jan. 1, so beneficiaries could soon begin exceeding the caps, which are $1,860 for physical and speech therapy combined and an additional $1,860 for occupational therapy. Please Contact Congress and tell your members to act quickly on restoring the exceptions process that ensures millions of older adults get full coverage for the therapy they need.
