The Pennsylvania Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators, PANAC, was founded in 1998 as a professional organization made up of members involved in the assessment of residents in Long Term Care. Our purpose is to promote excellence in the assessment process, develop opportunities for information exchange, represent the interests of our members and respond to the need of members to increase their knowledge base to improve the quality of life of the residents we serve.

CMS launches website for EHR Incentives
In an effort to help providers navigate new health information technology requirements and qualify for meaningful-use payments, the CMS has launched a website detailing information about its electronic health-record system incentive programs, which are scheduled to launch in 2011.

RUG-IV Payments Reset to Original October 2010 Implementation Date
Ellen M. Berry, PT, a research analyst for CMS, stated during the AANAC Spring Conference last month, that the RUG-IV will go into effect with a hybrid RUG-III to be implemented if necessary.
